THE THIEF
(Nori Kelley)

I passed by the field of a sluggard
By the vineyard of a man without sense
And lo, it was all overgrown with thorns
The ground was covered with nettles
And its stone wall was broken down
Then I saw and considered it
I looked and recieved instruction
A little sleep, a little slumber
A little folding of the hands to rest
And poverty will overcome you like a robber
And want like an armed man

You see, the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy
And to scatter the shepherd's sheep
So beware, he is wearing a heavy disguise
To decieve those who are asleep
To decieve those who are asleep

For we are all sons of light and sons of the day
We are not of the night or of darkness
So then let us not sleep as others do
But let us keep awake and be sober
For God has destined us for salvation
Through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ
We must resist the devil and he will flee from us
His defeat came at the cross

And remember, the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy
And to scatter the shepherd's sheep
So beware, he is wearing sheep's clothing
To decieve those who are asleep
To decieve those who are asleep
Take heed that you don't fall asleep...
